Happy Mother's day

Mothers'Day, a day seems so far away from me. Well, my Dear mama passed away 16 years ago and I doubt I'll be one for the rest of my life.
Since it doesn't concern me, why Blog? Okie.. just some thoughts streaming into me. Must be the Mothers’day Sales in the mall, Usually quiet hawker centre flooded with children having breakfast/dinner with their mothers and also children holding flowers walking around.
Is there a need to be like that~hyprocrite? Guess if we are gonna be nice to our papa & mama only on their "day" and the rest of the 364days we either ignore, neglect, being irrespectful and worst ill- treat them.. Oops.. then I guess they would rather we stop our "Acting" then.
I’ve worked for a govt dept where there are chances for me to meet up the elderly and find out about their current condition. Apparently there are so many of them who were so lonely and desperately hoping to see their children, to have a decent meal with them and talk to them. Some were living alone by themselves in a rented flat others who is luckier might have a maid with them. They only get to see their children when they are really sick and worst, many even died in the house until neighbor reported to the police.
Quote some "Filial" sons I know, whom I DO NOT agree to their idea/ways of filial piety. They too are parents themselves.
#1 Casanova – Very filial, as he say without his mum, there won’t be him! He will make an effort to wake up early to drive his mum to the church. He will not forget the birthday or any special occasion of his mama. He is known to be a "Yes Mummy" son. His wife will get the opportunity to have a meal with him during these special days, other than that, sorry… every 1,3,5 he have to spend time with his scandals and 2,4,6 with his friends in the Pub.
#2 Valentino – Another filial son. Never say NO to his mama. Thanks to mummy who wanted a trip to China and that gives the one in a lifetime chance for the wife to tag along. Valentino have no time for his wife, mother of his 3 daughters. What to do, he have so many Thai and Indonsian Girlfriends waiting for him.
#3 Mr Cool – I doubt all these special days mean anything to him. He was so busy( ya boy, nobody know what is he busy of, he don't even bother abt his biz anymore) that he don’t even have time to have a meal with his mama, he can’t even spare a minute talking to his mum. He have NEVER bought a gift for his mum, while his mum actually contributed for his Porsche. All that Mama wants from him is to have a meal together once a week and have a little chat, if possible. Oh ya, what breaks her heart was ~~ The diamond, rolex, handphone and expensive dinner in hotel were gift to his GF.
See… That’s what Filial Piety is all about
I DO NOT deny the fact that there are also filial children who really love and respect their parent from the bottom of their heart. A Merit and Applause for them!
