Can Money buy Love?

It's not a kind of "sour grapes" feeling.. but is there a need to spend so much money just to make a person happy? Or put it another way round.. Don't you think it's so "unfair" when you are always trying to please the person you love and all she do was just get ready to enjoy whatever you have plan for her.. be it happy or NOT EVEN showing signs of appreciation. It's sad lor.. after all you have plan for her and all the expensive gifts, all you get is FINALLY...... a picture of her posing with you! sigh...

First - The birthday.. expensive jewellery, good dinner and nice roses.
Then - the expensive spa package, nice flowers and a posh dinner in a cable car, and the most romantic stuff - a paper ring!
Now - The " head cracking" venue for dinner on Valentine's Day.. quote what you are telling your friend, " you lucky, your wife help to plan.. mine only sit there and wait to get ready"
After - A $5K bridal package ( according to her, INSUFFICIENT) - hey? I thought need to get permit before taking her picture?? So in actual fact she love to take picture lah. Can't imagine a $20K for a ROM.. So lucky of her.. she will gets to enjoy those romantic moment until she is 80 years old!

If you spend most of your life,
lying to yourself and others,
your life is basically a lie,
self-deception -
not a true life,
not truly living.
It is the sustenance of delusion,
that only propels you into greater delusion.
But the moment you snap out of it,
you seek the Truth,
you become true to yourself
and your whole life turns around.
The Truth is always there -
you only need to turn around

Heath Ledger found DEAD!

Heath Ledger, 1979-2008
Heath Ledger found dead in NYC apartment
Authorities say actor’s death likely suicide or accidental overdose.
The actor, who was Oscar nominated for “Brokeback Mountain,” died at age 28.

NEW YORK - Heath Ledger was found dead Tuesday in a Manhattan apartment in what police sources are calling an apparent suicide or accidental overdose. He was 28.
According to the New York Times, Ledger was found naked and unconscious with pills strewn all around him. Police sources told the Times that the death appeared to be a suicide or an accidental overdose.

NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said Ledger had an appointment for a massage at the apartment. The housekeeper, who went to let Ledger know the masseuse was there, found him naked and unconscious in bed at approximately 3:30 p.m. ET, according to The New York Times. After moving his body to the floor and receiving no response from the actor after shaking him, they called authorities.

While not a marquee movie star, Ledger was a respected, award-winning actor who took his craft seriously rather than cashing in on his heartthrob looks. He was nominated for an Oscar for his performance as a gay cowboy in “Brokeback Mountain,” where he met Michelle Williams, who played his wife in the film. The two had a daughter, Matilda, and lived together in Brooklyn until they split up last year.

Sickening Parrot

It's been a while since i almost lose my cool and having the urge to strangle someone! Nope, to be precise, i don't wanna dirty my hand, luckily it's the company HP, else i would have throw it right on his face! There is this stupid, irritating and sickening fellow who behave like a parrot, repeating whatever i said since morning. Pervert! If i know he is joing us for breakfast, i would rather pack and come back to the office. While queueing for the prata, we make our order, he said" aiyo, prata fattening" I gave him a hard stare and said " MYOB"! Then the sitting arrangement since there were 6 of us. I choose to sit away from him and he said " wow, you want to have private time with the Kenyan" ( sucks.. kay poh).
Then after lunch when i was returning $ to the controller ( sigh.. my boss got subra to buy marker, 5 bucks, but I have to pay? as if i got petty cash.. what to do, he ask me to pay and claim... for no reason.. I "over spent" $5) that stupid parrot repeat the whole sentence which i was talking to the controller lah.. don't you guys think he is SICKED! I shouted at him asking him to SHUT UP, but his skin is so THICK, even a M16 can't get thru him! And he go wacking and wacking.. KNS. When the bosses around, he hide away and dare not even open his mouth lah.. Really irritating! He is no other than.. VIAS!

Giving Shoes as a Gift - NO WAY!

Is it alright to buy shoes/slipper for our loved ones?

All started because my boss bought her wife a pair of slipper.. so sweet...)

Personally, I DON'T do that. My hubby don't allow me to do so as he ( pantang)believe that if we buy shoes as gift for our BF/GF, the receiving party will "run away". Even teletubbie's wife from thailand, believe the same thing, she will insist that she pay for her shoes.

I check from the internet and found some taboos on giving shoes as gift.
  • Don't give shoes to a boyfriend or girlfriend because then they'll run away.
  • Giving a new pair of shoes as Christmas gifts would make your friends walk away from you.
  • Between couples, buying shoes as a gift is like "kicking you in the face", then you can get round that by avoiding such a gift, or again, by the recipient paying a token sum to the giver.
  • If you buy shoes or perfume for a girlfriend, the relationship will not last long

Well, it's all superstition I guess and it really depend on individual, there is nothing wrong as long as the giving party and the receiving party is happy, I guess that's the most important thing.

As for the question you asked " so is it alright to give to other people's wife" Hmm.. let me think about it and let you know! But then, seriously... I guess "other people's wife" will be well taken care, so.. why you worry?

Excuse Me, Is this your Bra???

Hahaha.. early in the morning, my boss came into the office with a disgusted look on his face and all the cursing and swearing I always used came out from his mouth " choy.. suay ah, early in the morning #$%^& - Reason being - He saw a BRA lying on the floor, outside our office ( according to my dear controller, it's nearer to our neighbour). Hahaha.. How can that be? A bra? at the Air side? No way? Hmm.. I start to wonder how did the bra ended up there?
  • Maybe a lady felt too "hot" that she just took it off? So hot meh???
  • Maybe someone is practicing the trick of "removing a bra in 1sec? aiyo, do it elsewhere lah
  • Is it becos it's so loose that it Dropped? Huh?
  • Some cheeky guys must have forgotten to put it on for his scandal after some "adult game", chuck inside the pocket and Oops.. pervert

There can be thousand of reason why it ended up there, on the floor! But it's just sounds absurd regardless what was the reason. A bra?? Unbelieveable!!!!

A pity i didn't walk out to take a picture of it, decided not to becos I wanna strike 4d, so i better stay away from "unclean" stuff like that? I hope we won't end up seeing a sanity pad around in future, that will be real SUAY sia..

PS- sudden strike my mind, that bra might belong to that bapok next to my office, there's one who always walk around combing his hair & applying his lip gloss!

Are all women going thru Menopause behave this way?

I received an email from the finance dept asking me about the water dispenser in the office. What so interesting about that machine? Is it the cost of S$8/- per bottle? No lah, we are such a BIG company, don't tell me we can't afford that! Okie, she asked these question ( in blue) and I answered ( in red)
  1. Why are we having a water dispenser in the office? for drinking, aren't that obvious?
  2. For what purpose?
  3. For customer or employee? for staff and customer
  4. Can you identify who drink more? staff! we are working 365days and 24hours & even if we want to drink from the tap there is NO piping in the office!

Don't you think it a stupid question? We don't use it for shower, we don't tapao home the water too! Furthermore it's the ex-GM who have given the green light to purchase and it's been almost 2years and they are questioning about it.

Finally I found out the culprit - who turn out to be a lady who is going thru menopause hence a little unbalance! ( i'm sorry.. i don't mean to be sarcastic cos' i know i will go thru it in 15 years time) She is from the material dept who will handle the PO before sending to Finance for payment. Before she was Arrowed to do this, she ONLY handle things related to customer - therefore she felt she has "over worked" hence started to make noise and start all the questioning.... sigh.. this coy is full of crappy lady of her age.. We have 1 from Supply, 1 from Material, 1 from HR ( periodically) and i guess we have more, just that i 'm not interested in getting to know them!

First day of school

Today is a special day for my two "babies" ! Yes, their first day of Primary One! I can't imagine, both of them carrying a bag Soooo much bigger and heavier than their body! It's gonna be a brand new experience for them.... the feeling was like rojak.. i supposed... or be precised.. that's MY feeling..

  • happy to get new shoes, new bag, new stationeries.. even a wallet for $$! Yes, today will be the day when they start to handle $, start to queue for their own food.
  • Worried to enter a new environment, a BIG school with new teacher and friends.
  • Tired becos the hours is longer... instead of a 4 hours lesson.
  • stressed - for both kid and parent; MORE HOMEWORK and spelling!

I always felt first few days are very important, they mustn't get "frightened" else they will start to throw tantrum and refused to go to school, that's what my dear Eugene is telling me minutes ago. But I've managed to pacify him, promising "surprises" for him when i fetch him from school this evening - He tried to negotiate with me to fetch him home at 2pm! Frankly, I'm a little worried...

Wow.. they have grown up.. no longer babies .. very soon they will have to go thru their PSLE, "O" level, Poly, U, NS and so on... How time flies.... Soon I'll be too old to move around and they will be the one holding my hand showing me around..
